Nesta entrevista, Alberto Acosta fala sobre diversos temas relacionados com o atual processo de constitucionalismo transformador no Equador, do qual é um protagonista como ex-presidente da Assembleia Constituinte e atual líder da esquerda. Refere-se com sentido crítico ao difícil caminho da implementação da nova constituição nas instituições e nas leis. Desta forma, fala de alguns exemplos de desconstitucionalização (por ação e/ou omissão) promovidos pelo governo de Rafael Correa, ao qual Acosta, pela Esquerda, coloca várias questões. Mais à frente, nesta entrevista, faz considerações importantes sobre a Boa Vida (Sumak Kawsay), os direitos da Natureza, o extrativismo e o pos-extrativismo. Por último, faz algumas reflexões sobre o que uma Europa em crise poderia aprender com o Sul Global.

In the interview Alberto Acosta talks about different topics related to the ongoing process of transformative constitutionalism in Ecuador, of which he is an actor as former president of the Constituent Assembly and leader of the left. He critically assesses the difficult path to implement the new Constitution in the institutions and laws. He refers to some examples of un-constitutionalization (act and/or omission) promoted by the government of Rafael Correa, whom Acosta, from the left, challenges with a number of questions. Moreover in the interview he raises important considerations for the Good Life (Sumak Kawsay), the rights of Nature, extractivism and post-extractivism. Finally, he raises some thoughts about what Europe in crises could learn today from the global South.
