Yvette Taylor é Professora em Estudos e Políticas Sociais e Directora do Weeks Centre, da Universidade London South Bank. Foi galardoada com uma bolsa Fulbright na Universidade Rutgers (2010-2011). É autora de Working-Class Lesbian Life: Classed Outsiders (Palgrave, 2007), Lesbian and Gay Parenting: Securing Social and Educational Capitals (Palgrave, 2009), e Fitting Into Place? Class and Gender Geographies and Temporalities (Ashgate, 2011), entre outros. É também organizadora de várias obras, entre as quais se destacam Classed Intersections: Spaces, Selves, Knowledges (Ashgate, 2010), Educational Diversity (Palgrave, 2012) e (em co-autoria com S Hines e M Casey) Theorizing Intersectionality and Sexuality (Palgrave, 2010). Publicou artigos em diversas revistas internacionais, de que são exemplo British Journal of the Sociology of Education, European Societies, Sociological Research Online, Sexualities, Feminist Theory. Encontra-se presentemente trabalhar num projecto financiado pelo ESRC sobre 'Making space for queer identifying religious youth’. Yvette Taylor is Professor in Social and Policy Studies and Head of the Weeks Centre, London South Bank University. She has held a Fulbright Scholarship at Rutgers University (2010-11).
